As a result, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh shifted his venue and built a temple on the spot. Cricket Ground was built in 1893, after leveling a hilltop, this cricket pitch at 2444 m is the world’s highest cricket and polo ground.

The best time to visit Chail is between the months of May to October. December to February is the snow season. Mountains are covered with snows. It is an eye-catching experience for the travelers. Clothing in Chail is light cotton or woolens in summer. This is the time were temperature is 10-25 degree Celsius. In winter heavy woolens like monkey cap, socks, gloves etc and in winter temperature is 0-10c.   Adventures places are there in chail. Trekking routes are available in Chail up to the Choor peak and to Shimla. During winter’s season, skiing is possible at Narkanda.
